Lufthansa is redefining luxury in the skies with the introduction of its new First Class Suite Plus—a bold leap in the airline’s premium service portfolio. Part of the broader “Allegris” cabin generation, this latest innovation was officially unveiled at the Berlin Brandenburg Airport on March 19, 2025, marking the airline’s most ambitious product upgrade in recent years.

The Suite Life at 30,000 Feet

At the heart of the new offering is the First Class Suite Plus—a fully enclosed private double cabin featuring ceiling-high walls, a closable door, two wide seats that can be transformed into a double bed, and even a large dining table for two. Passengers can enjoy gourmet meals served on fine porcelain, a personal wardrobe, and a level of privacy previously reserved for private jets.

This exclusive experience will debut on Lufthansa’s Airbus A350s, initially serving key long-haul routes from Munich starting summer 2024.

A Design Statement Rooted in Heritage

Beyond the tech and comfort, Lufthansa is placing a strong emphasis on aesthetics. The First Class cabin design blends modern luxury with subtle German elegance—minimalist lines, warm tones, and premium materials. Lufthansa CEO Jens Ritter highlighted that the new product aims to set “new standards in comfort and individuality” and reflect the airline’s commitment to quality.

The revamped cabins also include new Business and Premium Economy classes, all part of the Allegris project, which spans 27,000 seats being installed across Lufthansa’s long-haul fleet over the coming years.

Why It Matters in the Competitive Premium Market

As demand for high-yield premium seats continues to grow, especially among business and luxury leisure travelers, Lufthansa is clearly signaling its intent to compete with the very best. While Gulf carriers and Asian airlines have traditionally dominated in ultra-premium experiences, Lufthansa’s Suite Plus positions it as a serious contender in this space—especially for routes connecting Europe to North America and Asia.

With features like individual heating/cooling, 4K screens, and a suite layout offering full privacy, Lufthansa isn’t just enhancing its First Class—it’s transforming the expectations of what European premium air travel can look like.

In an era where personalization, exclusivity, and comfort are paramount, Lufthansa’s new First Class Suite Plus is more than just a seat—it’s a statement. And for aviation enthusiasts and premium travelers alike, it’s one worth watching as it takes to the skies.
