Paris, June 17, 2025 – Saudi Arabia’s new premium airline Riyadh Air has placed a firm order for 25 Airbus A350-1000 widebody aircraft as it gears up for global operations. The announcement was made during the 2025 Paris Air Show, solidifying the carrier’s commitment to world-class efficiency, comfort, and sustainability.
The A350-1000 will serve as a key enabler of Riyadh Air’s long-haul strategy, connecting the Kingdom to more than 100 destinations by 2030 and helping position Riyadh as a global aviation hub.
“This order marks a decisive step in Riyadh Air’s journey to connect the world to Saudi Arabia,” said Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air.
Why the A350-1000?
- Longest-range aircraft in the world (up to 18,000 km)
- 25% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction
- Quietest twin-aisle aircraft in its class
- Airspace cabin with high ceilings, wide seats, and advanced lighting
- 100% SAF-capable by 2030
The aircraft will allow Riyadh Air to deliver a premium onboard experience and contribute to the country’s Vision 2030 goal of diversifying its economy and boosting tourism.
“The A350-1000 is the perfect platform for Riyadh Air’s ambitions,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales, Airbus Commercial Aircraft.
This order comes in addition to Riyadh Air’s previously announced commitment to the Boeing 787, making it a dual-fleet carrier focused on next-gen efficiency.
