STARLUX Airlines Orders 10 More Airbus A350-1000s to Fuel Long-Haul Expansion

Paris, June 18, 2025 – Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines has placed a firm order for 10 additional Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, doubling down on its long-haul strategy as it seeks to expand its global network from Taipei. The announcement was made at the 2025 Paris Air Show, reinforcing STARLUX’s commitment to a modern, fuel-efficient widebody fleet.

“With the A350-1000’s performance, efficiency and cabin comfort, we are confident it will continue to be the backbone of our intercontinental growth,” said Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines.

The airline already operates the A350-900 and A350-1000 and aims to leverage the aircraft’s ultra-long range and low operating costs to launch new routes to North America, Europe, and beyond.

Why the A350-1000?

  • Longest-range widebody aircraft in service today
  • 25% less fuel burn and CO₂ emissions vs. previous generation aircraft
  • Airspace cabin: wider seats, ambient lighting, lower noise
  • 100% SAF-ready by 2030

“STARLUX is a premium airline focused on excellence, and the A350-1000 is the perfect match for that vision,” said Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales at Airbus.

This new order brings STARLUX’s total A350 family commitment to 39 aircraft, including 18 A350-1000s and 21 A350-900s.
