Embraer and CAE Expand E2 Training Footprint with New Full-Flight Simulator in Madrid

Paris Air Show 2025 – Madrid, 18 June 2025 – As Embraer continues to grow its global footprint, a new chapter unfolds in pilot training across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS) has officially deployed its first full-flight simulator (FFS) for the E-Jets E2 family in the EMEA region at the CAE Madrid training centre, located near Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport.

This deployment marks a major milestone in the support infrastructure for Embraer’s second-generation E-Jets, which are rapidly gaining traction among regional carriers seeking operational efficiency, reduced emissions, and high performance.

A Strategic Move to Support a Growing E2 Fleet

“With this new simulator in Madrid, CAE is expanding its partnership with Embraer and reinforcing its commitment to support E2 customers in EMEA,” said Michel Azar-Hmouda, Division President of Commercial Aviation at CAE. “The advanced training offered in Madrid, featuring CAE’s competency-based training assessment (CBTA) courseware and Simfinity virtual simulator, will enhance classroom training and ensure safe and confident flight operations.”

For Embraer, the simulator’s deployment reflects the company’s dedication to customer-centric service.

“This is a significant milestone for our partnership with CAE,” said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support. “At CAE Madrid, our customers will benefit from world-class training and state-of-the-art technology—closer to home.”

Part of a Growing Global Simulator Network

This Madrid-based simulator becomes the second full-flight simulator for the E2 family in the ECTS network, joining the unit currently operating at the CAE Singapore training centre. ECTS also manages nine Phenom-family full-flight simulators at CAE’s business aviation training facilities in Dallas, Las Vegas, São Paulo, Burgess Hill, and soon in Vienna.

As the E2 fleet expands in EMEA—driven by carriers like Helvetic Airways, Binter Canarias, and Royal Jordanian—this training capacity is essential for enabling safe, efficient fleet operation and providing crews with local, tailored instruction.

Reinforcing Support at Paris Air Show 2025

Presented during the 55th Paris Air Show, this announcement reinforces Embraer’s commitment to its operators as it scales support for its next-generation regional jets. The E2 jets, known for their reduced noise footprint, impressive fuel efficiency, and range versatility, now have a regional training hub in Europe that matches their modernity.
