Virgin Australia Signs Component Pool Program Agreement with Embraer to Support E190-E2 Fleet #ParisAirshow2025

Paris Air Show 2025 – June 19, 2025 – Virgin Australia and Embraer have signed a Component Pool Program Agreement that will enhance the airline’s maintenance operations for its fleet of E190-E2 aircraft. The agreement, unveiled during the Paris Air Show, reinforces Virgin Australia’s commitment to operational reliability and Embraer’s expanding global support ecosystem.

Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Embraer will provide repairable component support to Virgin Australia through its vast Pool Program network. This service grants access to strategically located spare parts and reduces the need for upfront investment in inventory and repair facilities, ensuring improved cost efficiency and aircraft availability.

Strengthening E2 Fleet Operations in the Asia-Pacific

“Virgin Australia is a key customer for the E190-E2 in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support. “We are pleased to welcome them to our Pool Program, which is designed to deliver dependable support and simplify fleet operations. This agreement ensures the airline receives the best possible component availability and repair services, allowing them to focus on their growing E-Jet operations.”

The Embraer Pool Program offers a proven solution for airlines seeking high fleet dispatch rates with predictable maintenance costs. It currently supports more than 60 airlines worldwide operating over 1,800 Embraer aircraft.

Virgin Australia’s Continued Fleet Renewal

Virgin Australia continues to expand its E190-E2 operations across its domestic and short-haul international network. The Pool Program will play a critical role in enabling the airline to maintain high operational efficiency while managing the complexities of a regional jet fleet.

This collaboration highlights the increasing importance of flexible and cost-effective MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) partnerships in the current aviation environment, especially as more carriers invest in new-generation aircraft like the E2.
